Since 1956, Dr. Soleri has been pioneering with the concept of using
silt (a mixture of sand and clay) in casting techniques for concrete,
ceramic and bronze. The week-long silt workshop offers individuals
an introduction to basic silt-casting techniques using plaster, clay
and concrete.
Prerequisites:
Individuals must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an
adult.
The following dates are available for One-Day Siltcast Workshops in 2011 (all dates below are Fridays):
FEB 4 • MAR 11 • APR 15 • MAY 20 • JUNE 24 • JUL 29 • SEP 2 • OCT 7 • NOV 11
Tuition & Fees:
The fee for the one-week silt
program is $450.00. Applications are requested at least two weeks
prior to the first day of the course with a $50.00 non-refundable
deposit made payable to the Cosanti Foundation. Upon acceptance,
this deposit is applied to the workshop fee total. The balance,
which covers tuition, room, board, and use of site facilities is
due by the first day of the workshop.
